Description
From the classic ancient Olympic Stadium at Olympia to the famous rock-tower monasteries of Meteora and Nauplion, the first capital of modern Greece, and to the region of Macedonia “Country of Alexander the Great” – you’ll visit some of the most iconic sites in Greece on this seven-day tour from Athens.
Thessaloniki also known as Salonica is a city of great historic importance and a crossroad of so many civilizations and cultures.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Museum which it holds and interprets artifacts from the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods, mostly from the city of Thessaloniki but also from the region of Macedonia in general.

Arrive in Athens
Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where you will spend the next two nights.
Balance of the day is at leisure.
Athens Sightseeing Tour [duration approx. 4.5hours] &
Cape Sounion/Athens [duration approx. 4 hours]
Morning sightseeing tour of Athens, including a visit to the awesome Acropolis, Parthenon, Erechtheum, and Acropolis Museum Drive past the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Royal Palace, Panathenian Olympic Stadium, Temple of Zeus, and lots more.
Take a couple of hours break from you Sightseeing to wander around the Plaka. It is the oldest district in Athens (it is also mentioned as "Gods' district") with outstanding scenery. The moment you start walking on its paved narrow lanes you get the feeling that you travel back in time.
In the early afternoon, you will drive down the coast to Cape Sounion dominated by the spectacular Temple of Poseidon. Return to Athens in the early evening.
For dinner, visit Lycavittos hill or one of the numerous roof top restaurants to enjoy the magnificent night view to the Acropolis.
Athens Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nauplion [day 1 of 7]
Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus (visit the archaeological site and the theatre famous for its remarkable acoustics) and then on to Nauplia (short stop). Drive to Mycenae where you visit the archaeological site, then depart for Olympia, through the central Peloponnese area passing the cities of Megalopolis and Tripolis arrive in Olympia Dinner & Overnight.
Olympia - Delphi [day 2 of 7]
In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Olympia. Drive via Patras to Rion, cross the channel to Antirion on the “state of the art” new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in Nafpaktos , and then continue to Delphi. Dinner & Overnight.
Delphi [day 3 of 7]
In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight in Delphi.
Delphi - Kalambaka [day 4 of 7]
In the morning, start the drive by the central Greece towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala to Kalambaka. Afternoon visit of the breathtaking Meteora. Dinner & Overnight in Kalambaka.
Kalambaka - Thessaloniki [day 5 of 7]
Drive by Trikala and Larissato the famous, sacred Macedonian town of Dion(visit).Then continue to Thessaloniki, the largest town in Northern Greece. Visit the most interesting museum of Thessaloniki and sightseeing of the city. Dinner & Overnight.
Pella - Vergina [day 6 of 7]
Morning drive to Pella Alexander the Great’s capital (visit). Continue to Vergina to visit the Tomb of the King Philip and the famous ‘’Vergina Treasures ’’. Then on to Lefkadia where you visit the excavations. Return to Thessaloniki via Veria. Dinner & Overnight.
Thessaloniki - Athens [day 7 of 7]
Start the return drive to Athens, through the Tempi Valley, Larissa, Lamia and Thermopylae famous for the ancient battle that took place there (visit).

Wear
Casual dressing. To enter the monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Ladies should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts.
Most sites in Greece involve extended walking and/or slippery surfaces.
Therefore we strongly suggest wearing comfortable sturdy shoes.
Sunscreen, hat and water are also good “travel companions”.
